Automated daily PLC reports delivered by email — built on top of the control system we'd already deployed, so the customer didn't need a new platform.
Our customer operates hog farms across multiple sites, some of them hours apart. To access daily PLC reports from each location, someone had to physically go there. Retrieving data manually from sites spread that far apart was time-consuming and operationally inefficient — and it meant decisions were being made with stale information or no information at all.
We automated the reporting and folded the configuration controls into the system we'd already built for them — no new platform, no new login, no additional complexity.
We had already deployed the control system for this customer. Rather than introduce a separate reporting tool, we extended what was already in place — adding an automated email reporting pipeline on top of the edge devices already installed at each site.
Data published daily by the PLC to the edge device is automatically packaged into a report for each machine and emailed directly to the customer. No manual retrieval, no site visits just to pull data.
Report delivery is remotely configurable — the customer can enable or disable reporting for individual units from their office, without any on-site visit or hardware change.
The reporting pipeline has been verified on one setup and is now being rolled out across additional sites. The same pattern applies to each location since the underlying control system is already deployed.
Daily reports arrive by email automatically. The customer gets current data from every site without leaving the office.
Reporting can be toggled per machine from the office. No on-site visit or hardware change required to adjust what gets reported.
Built on the control system already in place — no new platform to deploy, manage, or pay for. Just more value from existing infrastructure.
The same pattern applies to each farm location since the underlying control system is already deployed. Verified on one setup and now rolling out.
We build on what's already in place. If you have edge devices, PLCs, or control systems deployed, there's a good chance we can extend them — without starting from scratch.
